Day 1- Arrival at Sasan Gir
Upon arrival in Gir National Park, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch. After a brief rest, prepare for your first-afternoon safari in Gir. Set out in an open jeep with a skilled naturalist guide who will lead you through the park’s diverse terrain, increasing your chances of spotting Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. As you navigate the rugged landscape, keep an eye out for other wildlife, such as leopards, sambar deer, and a variety of birds.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and a relaxing night surrounded by nature.

Day 2 & 3- Exploring Gir
Over the next two days, immerse yourself in the rich landscapes of Gir National Park with morning and evening safaris, offering the best opportunities to spot the elusive Asiatic lion. Gir is the only place on Earth where these lions roam freely, and your expert guide will lead you through zones known for frequent sightings of these majestic animals.
Each morning, set out early when the park is calm and wildlife is active. As you navigate Gir’s rugged terrain, your guide will help you spot lions patrolling their territory or basking in the coolness of dawn. Alongside lions, you may encounter leopards, chital (spotted deer), and nilgai (blue bull) grazing in open clearings, along with vibrant birdlife such as peafowl, partridges, and eagles soaring above.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and some downtime, enjoying lunch and resting before the afternoon safari. The evening safaris offer a different experience as the light softens and animals become more active again. You may visit the Kamleshwar Dam, a water source that attracts marsh crocodiles and a variety of birds, adding to the diversity of wildlife sightings.
These back-to-back safaris allow you to deeply connect with Gir’s unique ecosystem, observe wildlife behaviours, and gain insight into the park’s conservation efforts.
Return to the lodge each night for dinner and relaxation, sharing your experiences with fellow travellers.

Day 4- Check out and onward journey
On your final morning in Gir National Park, set out for one last early morning safari, savouring the last moments in the land of the Asiatic lion. With the peaceful dawn atmosphere and a bit of luck, you may encounter more of Gir’s remarkable residents—perhaps a pride of lions, leopards on the move, or the graceful nilgai.
After returning to the lodge for breakfast, it’s time to pack up and check out. Following a memorable stay filled with wildlife encounters and scenic landscapes, you’ll be transferred for your onward journey, carrying with you unforgettable memories of India’s last sanctuary for the Asiatic lion
