Your day would typically start with an early morning safari, breakfast inside the park, get out before noon, freshen up and relax in the daytime, have lunch, head out to the evening safari, return back from safari post-sunset, then have the evening at leisure.
Ranthambore National Park, located in Rajasthan, has a rich and storied history. Once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the park was known for its dense wildlife and royal tiger hunts during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The decline in the tiger population led to increased conservation efforts, and in 1955, Ranthambore was declared a wildlife sanctuary.
In 1973, Ranthambore became part of Project Tiger, a national initiative to protect India’s dwindling tiger population. The park was officially declared a national park in 1980, and its boundaries were extended with the inclusion of the Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary and Keladevi Sanctuary.
Today, Ranthambore is one of India’s most celebrated tiger reserves, known not only for its thriving tiger population but also for its impressive Ranthambore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that sits within the park, blending history and wildlife in one unique destination

The initiative was led by Mary Curzon, wife of the then Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon after they found that rhino numbers had dramatically declined. Kaziranga was later designated as a national park in 1974 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 for its exceptional biodiversity and conservation success.
Kaziranga is renowned for its rich biodiversity, home to the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceros, along with tigers, elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. It also harbours a diverse range of bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. The park’s wetlands, tall grasslands, and tropical moist forests provide ideal habitats for these species. EXCELLENT Based on 151 reviews LucyM19882025-04-29Verified A professional and highly recommended service I used Tigerwalah for transport, safaris and a train bookings and they were professional and communicated effectively throughout. Anurag was very speedy at replying to my many questions and ensured I had all the information required before arrival. Once in India the support and communication continued. All services were of a very high and professional standard. I would highly recommend Tigerwalah. Thank you for an incredible experience! Caroline L2025-04-25Verified Immaculately planned and managed safari trip with Anurag I went on a Photographic Safari with Bobby Jo Photography. She and Anurag (Tigerwalah) planned the itinerary and took us across India to five amazing game reserves. Kaziranga (Elephants and rhino and our first tiger!), Tadoba (tigers), Nagzira (gorgeous little leopard with blue eyes), Kanha (tigers and dhol), and Ranthambore (more tigers and sloth bear). And all the birds and deer, wild boar, we saw everything.Transport was via private cars, overnight trains, internal flights - comfortable and efficient. Accommodation was in lovely, authentic lodges - none high end or overpriced, and all with air-conditioning and WiFi, and beautiful food.Anurag is the most organised, efficient, and connected person I have ever met 😀. He smoothed our way through airports and train stations, restaurants and hotels, calmly guiding, hosting, and predicting our requirements. He also knows all the Gypsy drivers and safari guides/naturalists in all the reserves. And he has a lodge in Ranthambore and was our safari guide on our 5 drives through that reserve. We ended our incredible India experience at the Taj Mahal. Which was everything ♡I cannot recommend Tigerwalah highly enough. Just get hold of Anurag and let him put in place an amazing trip for you. j s2025-04-23Verified Well organised and responsible safari After researching numerous safari companies, I chose Tigerwalah based on reviews, competitive pricing and on the excellent communication from Anurag for our safaris in Ranthambore. He explained the process in detail and the booking process was smooth. We decided on private jeep safari tours for maximum chance of sightings we booked 3 safaris. Anurag arranged for us to have the same guide for all 3 drives. The protocol in Ranthambore is that drivers are allocated on the day on a roster basis so although the driver changed, it was beneficial to have the same guide. We were in Zone 1 on the first morning, Zone 2 on the 2nd morning and Zone 4 on the afternoon. We were extremely lucky to have very close encounters especially on the 2nd drive where the tigress Mahi was a mere 3m away from our jeep. The guide was helpful , informative and respectful of these animals. I would highly recommend Tigerwalah! Swati J2025-04-01Verified Great Experience! Tigerwalah provides excellent service. Anurag and Shivani helped us plan our trip to Kanha and Pench, while Irfaan, our driver, was not only experienced but also one of the nicest people we met. This was our second trip with the Tigerwalah team, and we know it won’t be our last. I highly recommend the Tigerwalah team for an unforgettable safari experience. Sonny Kapoor2025-03-19Verified Excellent ! Anurag was truly amazing and helped organize a super trip for me and my kids !He went out of his way to help, despite the fact that this trip was last minute.Communication was great, safaris were great and most importantly we got to see Tigers!!!I would highly recommend him to all my people. Thanks Anurag 🙂🙏🏾👍🏾 Abitha Srinivasan2025-03-19Verified 5 stars Our experience with Tigerwallah for our trip to Jim Corbett National Park was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we booked, their team ensured a smooth and hassle-free experience. The stay arrangements at The Golden Tusk were excellent—comfortable, well-maintained accommodations, great hospitality and exceptional food (the highlight of the property for me!) . The location was perfect, just a 5 minutes drive to the Jhirna and Dhela gates. The highlight of our trip was the safari, which was well-organized by Tigerwallah. They provided experienced guides and knowledgeable drivers, enhancing our chances of spotting wildlife, including the majestic Bengal tiger! The team was professional and ensured that everything—from permits to transport—was taken care of.If you're planning a visit to Jim Corbett, I highly recommend Tigerwallah for their seamless service and well-planned arrangements. It was my daughter's first safari and trust me, it was everything we could have wished for. The entire itinerary was well organised, and both the hosts Anurag and DB were wonderful. The cherry on top was we had tiger sightings on both safaris, so well worth it! The stay was also very comfortable, absolutely "ghar jaisa" which made us feel very relaxed throughout. We went with a group of friends, and a warm bonfire was arranged in the evenings, and the conversations made the experience even warmer. Highly recommended! Voyager181489514822025-02-24Verified A Truly Wild & Memorable Experience! A Truly Wild & Memorable Experience! Our recent stay at Jim Corbett National Park was an unforgettable experience! Nestled right in the heart of the jungle, the stay was simple yet incredibly immersive—we could hear the sounds of nature all around us, making us feel truly connected to the wilderness. The accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable, perfect for those who want an authentic jungle experience. The real highlight, however, was the delicious food—freshly prepared, homely, and full of flavor! Every meal was a delight, and we were amazed at the quality despite being in such a remote location. The entire trip was seamlessly arranged by Tiger Walah, who ensured smooth bookings and a hassle-free experience. The jungle safaris were thrilling—we were lucky to spot tigers, wild cats, elephants, otters, owls, eagles, and unique birds! If you’re looking for an authentic and raw jungle experience, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for wildlife lovers and adventure seekers! anuradha2025-02-21Verified Tadoba never disappoints We were told that Tadoba at any season never disappoints and we do get good sightings. We booked our trip with Tigerwalah and the perfection started with being picked up at Nagpur. The staying place at Tadoba was the best and the 8 safaris organised with the best driver and guide were a treat. Out of 8 we spotted Tigers in 7 safaris and they were in touching distance in a couple of the safaris. It was an amazing experience through out. Not a hitch anywhere. Thank you from the bottom of our heart Tigerwalah.🙏
