Upon your arrival at Delhi airport, you will be met by one of our IWS tour guides. He will take you to your hotel, facilitate check-in, and answer any pre-tour queries. Post check-in, the rest of the day will be at leisure, and you can recover from your journey and prepare for the travels ahead!

We’ll begin the day by visiting the iconic Red Fort, a symbol of India’s rich history and architectural brilliance. Explore its majestic walls, intricate designs, and the fascinating stories behind this UNESCO World Heritage Site. After soaking in the grandeur of the fort, we’ll head into the vibrant spice lanes and bustling markets of Chandni Chowk. Here, you’ll experience old Delhi’s sights, sounds, and scents, with narrow lanes filled with colourful stalls selling everything from spices and textiles to traditional jewellery.
Next, we’ll take a scenic drive through Lutyens’ Delhi, home to some of India’s most significant landmarks. You’ll pass by the stately India Gate, a war memorial honouring Indian soldiers, and continue the tour by viewing the grand Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House) and Prime Minister’s residence, showcasing the impressive colonial architecture of New Delhi.
To round off the day, we’ll indulge in some lip-smacking, authentic Indian cuisine, giving you a true taste of Delhi’s vibrant culinary culture. From flavorful street food to rich curries, your palate will be treated to a variety of local delights.

Early next morning, you will be taking the flight to Ahmedabad. After a 2-hour flight to Gujarat, you will check into your hotel, relax and get ready to explore this city. After freshening up, you’ll head out to the hotspots of the city. From Akshardham Temple, a huge temple of Lord Swami Narayan built in the middle of the city to Sabarmati Ashram, home to Mahatma Gandhi.
You can also opt for a heritage walk OR birding at Nalsarovar( winter season)
The list of places to see in Ahmedabad is countless, but you can fine-tune your day plan as per your preferences.
Return to your hotel in the evening.
Overnight at Ahmedabad
Today, after breakfast, you’ll embark on a drive to the Little Rann of Kutch, known for its vast salt flats and being home to the endangered Indian wild ass.
After checking into your lodge, enjoy lunch before setting out on a safari across the striking salt desert. As you explore, keep an eye out for the wild ass and various bird species, including flamingos and pelicans.
Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Full day at at Little Rann of Kutch
The Little Rann of Kutch is a unique and vast salt marsh that spans approximately 5,000 square kilometers. Its distinct topography is dominated by expansive salt flats, which become parched and barren during the dry season but transform into shallow wetlands during the monsoon, supporting a wide variety of wildlife.
Despite its harsh and arid appearance, the vegetation in the Little Rann of Kutch includes sparse grasslands, scrublands, and patches of thorny bushes. These hardy plants have adapted to the saline conditions and provide critical habitat for the region’s wildlife.
The biodiversity of the Little Rann is extraordinary. It is best known for being the last refuge of the endangered Indian wild ass. The seasonal wetlands attract numerous species of waterfowl, including flamingos, pelicans, and cranes. The area also supports a variety of mammals such as jackals, foxes, and nilgai, along with reptiles like monitor lizards. The Little Rann’s mix of desert, grassland, and wetland ecosystems makes it a vital ecological zone for both resident and migratory species.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Velavadar’s Blackbuck National Park, famous for its blackbuck antelope and open grasslands.
Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before heading out for an evening safari. The grasslands come alive with blackbucks, Indian wolves, and harriers.
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Full day at Velavadar
Velavadar National Park, also known as the Blackbuck National Park, is located in the Bhavnagar district of Gujarat and covers an area of approximately 34 square kilometres. It is renowned for its extensive grasslands, which provide the perfect habitat for the blackbuck antelope, one of the park’s most iconic species.
The park’s vegetation consists mainly of open grasslands interspersed with scrubland and marshy areas, creating an ideal environment for herbivores and bird species. During the monsoon season, small water bodies form, attracting a variety of wildlife.
Velavadar is especially famous for its thriving population of blackbucks, one of the fastest antelopes in the world. In addition to blackbucks, the park is home to Indian wolves, striped hyenas, jackals, and nilgai. The park is also known for the large roosts of harriers—the highest concentration of these birds of prey in the world—making it a haven for birdwatchers. Other avian species such as larks, sandgrouse, and falcons can also be spotted.
The unique landscape of Velavadar, with its rich biodiversity and open grasslands, provides a tranquil and rewarding experience for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.

After breakfast and check out, you will embark on a scenic drive to Gir National Park, home to the Asiatic lion.
Gir National Park, located in the southwestern part of Gujarat, India, covers an area of approximately 1,412 square kilometres and is the last refuge of the endangered Asiatic lion. The park was established in 1965 and has a rich history as the former hunting grounds of the Nawabs of Junagadh. Over the years, it has become a model for wildlife conservation, playing a critical role in the protection of the Asiatic lion, whose population has steadily increased due to focused efforts.
By late afternoon you will reach your resort at Gir, where you will check-in, unpack, and have the rest of the evening at leisure. From the next day, your safaris would kick-off!
Overnight stay at Gir.
Your back-to-back morning and evening safaris begin this day onwards! Arguably the most exciting part of the journey. The massive 1500 sq. km forest is full of life and activity, and other than the magnificent Asiatic lions, you’ll also experience the other unique wildlife of the park such as Indian leopard, jungle cat, striped hyena, golden jackal, four-horned antelope, chinkara, and porcupines.
The park’s vegetation is diverse, primarily consisting of dry deciduous forests, interspersed with patches of scrub jungle, grasslands, and bamboo thickets. Gir is also dotted with several perennial rivers and water bodies, which support the wildlife during the dry season. The park is home to over 500 species of plants, making it one of India’s most ecologically rich areas. This diverse habitat supports not only lions but also leopards, sloth bears, chital, and a variety of bird species, making Gir a unique and thriving ecosystem.
After the safari, return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, head out for your evening safari, exploring a different area.
Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening at leisure.
Today, you will spend the morning on safari, post safari pack up and travel to Rakot for onward journey.
Once there, you will take the evening flight to Delhi, and arrive back in the capital by late evening.
