Wild Encounters: Bandhavgarh, Kanha & Jim Corbett

You’ll start your day with exciting morning and evening safaris through different zones of Bandhavgarh National Park, with each area carefully chosen by our team to give you the best chance of spotting wildlife.

Safari timings and durations will vary with the season and daylight hours, and your Guide will keep you informed about the schedule upon your arrival.

Typically, your day will start with an early morning safari, where you’ll even have breakfast inside the park. After wrapping up before noon, you’ll have time to relax at the lodge before heading out again for a thrilling evening safari after lunch, getting back just after sunset.

End your day with a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay at the Lodge

The day begins with an exhilarating morning safari in Bandhavgarh National Park. As the sun rises, you’ll venture through the misty forests and grasslands, taking in the wild beauty of one of India’s most famous tiger territories. This final safari in Bandhavgarh is a chance to witness the morning routines of Bengal tigers, sambar deer, and the many birds that call these jungles home.

After returning to the lodge, it’s time to check out and embark on the journey to Kanha National Park. The drive, approximately 5 hours, offers a scenic route through the heart of Central India, passing rural villages, fields, and patches of forested land. You’ll have time to relax and take in the changing landscape, with the anticipation of a new adventure building as you approach Kanha.

Upon arrival in Kanha, you’ll settle into your lodge, with the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner will be served, giving you a chance to recharge for the next day’s explorations in the lush, tiger-filled forests of Kanha

The next two days are dedicated to exploring the expansive wilderness of Kanha National Park, one of India’s most stunning tiger reserves and the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. Renowned for its lush sal and bamboo forests, open meadows, and picturesque streams, Kanha offers an unparalleled safari experience.

Each day starts with an early morning safari, venturing into the heart of the park as the mist rises and the forest awakens. As your guide expertly navigates the trails, keep your eyes peeled for Bengal tigers, often seen padding silently through the grasslands, or leopards perched in the trees. The morning light brings out the best in Kanha’s landscapes, making it a photographer’s paradise.

After safari return back at the lodge, you’ll have time to relax and recharge before the afternoon safari. The evening safaris in Kanha provide a unique atmosphere as the sunlight softens, creating a tranquil environment that brings out different wildlife activities. As temperatures cool, sightings of gaur (Indian bison), barasingha deer, and countless bird species become more frequent, while tiger tracks often lead to thrilling encounters.

Return each evening to the lodge, where dinner awaits, giving you time to unwind, share stories of the day’s adventures, and enjoy the tranquility of Kanha’s forested surroundings.

Today will be your last game drive into Kanha, after lunch, you will be moving out and driving west to Nagpur

From Nagpur airport, you will take the late evening flight to Delhi. On reaching the capital after almost two weeks of extreme wilderness adventures and in the company of the national animal and national pride of India, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Delhi.

On Day 10, venture into the renowned Dhikala Zone your home for the next three nights where the breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife unfold before you.

The 32 km drive from the Dhangarhi Gate to Dhikala offers thrilling chances to spot tigers, leopards, and elephants along the way. As we drive deeper into the jungle, the scenery becomes more captivating, with lush forests and open grasslands unfolding before you. Upon arrival, you’ll check into the accommodation inside the jungle, offering safe, basic yet hygienic rooms amidst the wilderness.

After lunch head out for an exciting afternoon game drive, keeping an eye out for tigers, leopards, and a myriad of bird species.

Overnight stay at Forest Rest house

Your journey continues with full days of exploration in the Dhikala Zone. Experience both morning and evening safaris, enhancing your chances of spotting the majestic wildlife that roams these storied woods. The park’s captivating scenery and its incredible fauna will leave you in awe, as you revel in the wonders of nature.

Between safaris, you’ll have time to relax in the serene jungle accommodation.

Overnight at Forest Rest House

Today after a short game drive & breakfast we will check out from our jungle accommodations and begin the scenic drive back to the park gate, reflecting on the incredible wildlife experiences you’ve had in this iconic national park.

Once outside, board an AC vehicle and drive to Delhi.

Drop at hotel/ Delhi International Airport for onward journey.
